Introduction
We do jungle safaris with hope to get inside view of jungle life at capture the safari moments on camera. It is human nature that he/she always try to share the good experiences. Thus in order to share those sighting moments, we do photography and videography. In this page we will talk about good videography experience at Bandhavgarh national park, while doing jungle safaris. Photography is a pose where as videography is an action.
Scope for Videography
While doing jungle safari drive, we saw things in two ways. First is that in which we look at the beauty of subject where as in second way we try to understand what the subject is doing. Similarly we exlain the things to our friends and relatives when they as about our safari experience. By sharing photograph, we share the beauty of the subject like tiger, leopard, spotted deer, forest etc. But when we would like to capture any action of animal or bird or reptile or forest, we have to capture it in video format thus videography is equal scope during safari drive.
Need for Videography
As mentioned above, videography have its own scope and need during safari drive. There are many situations in which we should give priority to videography over photography like:
- Many times, we will find ourself in a situation when tiger is about to come on trail or moving just behind the bushes where focusing on it is not so easy and photographic shots are not clear or understandable then instead of trying more and waste the percious time, better to switch to videography mode and record the episode for better impact.
- Similarly if some action is going on like tiger conflict is about to begin or going on or mating is going on or tigeress walking is with cubs then also we should give first priority to videography to record such rare actions and then go for photographic shot. Videography will cover all the important parts of scene and thus viewer will feel more connected with the situation.
- Videography gives better results, in compare to photographs, when your camera is not of superior quality. We often experience this difference, in the video clips, shared by safari guides and drivers. They use mobile camera which are of not so high quality thus there images are mostly blurr thus have no impact but at the same time there recorded videos, with same mobile camera are more meaningful thus have better impact.
- During night safari drives. Due to low light, camera photographs are of no impact and also don't explain the scene enjoyed by tourists. Here also we have experienced that videographs are more meaningful and explains the scene in better understandable way.
